In its ambition to achieve continuous improvement and cost optimization, the client was looking to optimize assets and capabilities in its Global Value Chain and drive decision-making based on multiple value drivers.
The goal of the European Headquarters was to increase the visibility and promote the strategic location of having Global functions in the Netherlands and more effectively share their added value to and across the organization.
How did we help?
The client needed support in setting up a Value Case for Strategic Positioning, highlighting and optimizing multiple values and offering considerations on decision-making and risks to preserve business continuity in this phase of company-wide change.
With the following approach, Been Management Consulting supported the client in setting up the Value Case:
1. Interviews & Desk Research – to discuss the Dutch business climate and strategic location in relation to Global functions with non-LS&H and other LS&H companies (with Global functions located in the Netherlands) and knowledge institutes;
2. Process Overviews & Activity Analysis – to get a better understanding of processes within Global functions, the type of activities involved and capabilities required in the execution of these processes, and the value they add;
3. Decision-making Approach Analysis – to analyze different decision-making approaches, including our value-based approach, and their risks and benefits to business continuity, in order to determine the best fitting approach to assess multiple value drivers.
