Royal Schiphol Group is an airport company with an important socio-economic task. Royal Schiphol Group is the owner and operator of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Rotterdam The Hague Airport and Lelystad Airport, and holds a majority stake in Eindhoven Airport. It has the ambition to create the world's most sustainable, high quality airports. This requires top-quality aviation infrastructure and air transport facilities for passengers and cargo. How did we support their journey?
In order to fulfill the Royal Schiphol Group ambition, the Amsterdam Airport Schiphol has as one of its ambitions to decrease the backlog in maintenance of the airport. A programmatic approach and new ways of working are needed to achieve the required scale up in maintenance efforts.
How did we help Schiphol to scale up their maintenance efforts?
We installed a maintenance scale-up program by first establishing an integrated approach by involving internal and external stakeholders to align interests in the value chain; second by implementing efficient, effective and transparent processes and ways of working; and third steering on value creation beyond the financial considerations according to CSRD guidance.
The approach resulted in creating increased airport value as the organization is better equipped to steer on time, budget AND value, in a decreased maintenance backlog and finally in better collaboration in the value chain.
“Collaboration was great, they are thinkers who act. And above all, nice people to work with.”
